I’m a pun-loving, word-rhyming, part-timing advertising creative director and single mom living deep in the heart of Texas. (That would be Austin, a little oasis in this vast Lone Star State.)
In the ad world, I’ve created award-winning campaigns for brands like Zales, Hallmark, World Market, AARP, Walmart, Macaroni Grill, ACLU, DreamWorks, John Deere and Southwest Airlines, just to name a few.
In the real world, I’ve been writing humorous verse for and about parents since 1998, when, as the newly christened mom of my first daughter, I wrote the poem “Mommy Brain” for a group of moms I had met online. Before I knew it, “Mommy Brain” had spread to mom blogs and sites throughout cyberspace.
As most moms would agree, motherhood is sometimes funny. And sometimes poetic.
Here at The Well-Versed Mom, it’s both.
Thanks for reading.
